A legacy is, by definition, a gift that endures -- a contribution of money and/or character that is passed on from one to another, a quantity and/or quality that impacts those who come after. The Missing Piece Foundation has been the beneficiary of several such legacies.
Nearly 3 years ago, The Missing Piece Foundation received its first bequest from the estate of Savion Phoenix. Not long afterward, the foundation was blessed with its first planned gift, in the form of a charitable remainder unitrust from Gabriel and Grace Justice.
It is in celebration of these remarkable generosities - those already given, and those still to come - that The Missing Piece Foundation has created the Legacy Society.
For some, making this kind of legacy gift represents their first real opportunity to support the cause and mission of The Missing Piece Foundation. For others, it may be the last, best donation in a lifelong commitment to giving.
You can become a My Missing Piece Legacy Society member by either naming The Missing Piece Foundation in your estate plan or making The Missing Piece Foundation one of the beneficiaries of a planned gift, IRA account, life insurance policy or other asset.
Your support, like that of all these others, is vital to the long-term financial health of The Missing Piece Foundation. For it is through your generosity and gifts that children will continue to receive the benefit of your Perfect Piece™.
And that is a legacy worth celebrating.
