One of the goals of The Missing Piece Foundation is to empower improve the quality of life of children and their families. By funding research, community programs and public education and outreach efforts, the TMPF is making positive advances in the issues that matter most to children and youth all around the world

Chosen to be Angels project

The Chosen to be Angels Project is the Missing Piece Foundation’s Signature Initiative where we support and empower children and their families by providing support to parents who have children attending hospitals or charitable research institutions.  As anyone can imagine having a loved one, especially a child who is sick and is in desperate need of medical attention is hard enough; that along with the financial burden can be nearly unbearable the missing piece Foundation does all it can by supporting families with it Medical Cost assistance program.   One of the way we provide this services is through wonderful book The Apple Fell Far From the Tree, affectionately known as The Apple Book.  This book encourages us to remember, celebrate and cherish the lives of children while simultaneous providing a way to support families in need.

My Missing Piece & Your Perfect Piece

Your Perfect Piece is like a human fingerprint: unique, special, and one of kind.
Your Perfect Piece is the belief and the idea that you can help and empower a child by giving a little piece of yourself that is unique and personal. Your Perfect Piece can be assistance with after school tutoring programs, it can be a donation to the Missing Piece Foundation's Signature Initiatives, it can be a big brother or big sister mentorship, and it can be as simple as a small pat on the back. Your Perfect Piece is Perfect because it is unique and specific and it s a perfect fit to a child’s need that only you could give at that time. Your Perfect Piece does not have to be grand…it can be as small as a kind word or a friendly smile…but it can and will have life changing effects.

Because of the My Missing Piece and Your Perfect Piece Movements & Initiatives, The Missing Piece Foundation has been able to positively impact the lives of thousands of Children worldwide.

Community Atmosphere
TMPF Community Program provides financial support and capacity-building to community-centered initiatives that address the physical, emotional, educational, and practical needs of children.  Since its inception in 200, TMPF Community Program has awarded thousands of dollars in funds and grants to non-profit organizations across the country.

Research Program
TMPF Research Program focuses on improving the quality of life for cancer survivors.  We encourage and support the efforts of both established investigators and young investigators in the early stages of their research career.  Since inception, the TMPF has awarded thousands of dollars in research grants.

National Partnerships
To help meet the needs of children living with chronic or terminal illness, TMPF National Partnerships offer a coordinated, comprehensive approach to empowering the lives of children that is aligned with the priorities established in the National Action Plan Through the program, the TMPF identifies, evaluates and forms long-term cooperative agreements with national non-profit organizations, which leverage the strengths and resources of both organizations.
